An iron/ironing board, coffee/tea making equipment, and a TV set in the room, magnificent location. Amazing, gorgeous breakfast with fresh eggs from the hens on the lawn.

It was in a prime location in beautiful grounds.
Didn't like the staff, some of them were particularly busy.

This hotel was the perfect choice for our stay. The location was ideal, set in large grounds in a quiet area yet only a pleasant 20-minute walk into the charming town. The friendly hosts were always available to answer our questions and provided excellent recommendations for places to eat. The rooms were spacious and had everything we needed, with comfortable beds and nice touches. Breakfast was amazing, with homemade granola and fresh eggs from the hens in the garden. We would love to return at another time.

The attention to detail at this hotel was outstanding. From the well-stocked room with teas, coffees, and fresh milk, to the robes and chocolate biscuits provided, every little touch made us feel so comfortable. The rooms were spotless and very spacious, and had everything we could possibly need. The hosts were friendly and always available to answer any questions. The breakfast offered a fantastic variety and everything was delicious, from the homemade granola to the full Scottish breakfast. We left with the recipe for the granola!
Everything was perfect, we couldn't ask for more.

The Barn @ The Coach House Melrose exceeded our expectations in every way. The attention to detail was exceptional, with rooms that provided every comfort, including armchairs to sit in and all facilities we could have wanted. The hotel's location on the outskirts of Melrose was perfect for us, giving a peaceful and serene atmosphere while still being close enough to enjoy the town center. The breakfasts were a highlight, with freshly prepared fruit and the best poached eggs ever - we even learned that they were sourced from the hens on the lawn!
All was fantastic; we couldn't find a single fault.

This hotel is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the most incredible hosts who made sure our stay was nothing short of fantastic. The attention to detail in every aspect of this hotel is remarkable, from the well-appointed rooms with comfortable armchairs to the impeccable service provided by the staff. The location on the outskirts of a charming town adds to the tranquility and relaxation. The breakfast was a highlight, with freshly prepared fruit and the best poached eggs I've ever tasted, which I heard were sourced from the hens on the lawn. It's rare to find a hotel that provides every comfort, even down to the smallest details, and this hotel does just that.
Not a single thing could be improved - everything was perfect!

I recently had a delightful stay at Barn @ the Coach House Bed & Breakfast. the hosts, Claire and Donald, were incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. They even prepared a delicious 2-course breakfast for us early in the morning, knowing that we had an important exam to attend. the B&B itself is a beautifully renovated barn, with comfortable rooms and a well-equipped bathroom. the location is also perfect, with a peaceful atmosphere and a convenient walk to nearby attractions. I highly recommend Barn @ the Coach House for a fantastic stay in the area. Cons: There was nothing I didn't like. 😊.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Barn @ The Coach House Bed & Breakfast and we had a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the hosts Claire and Donald were incredibly welcoming and friendly. We immediately felt right at home. The room we stayed in was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We especially loved the addition of a fridge in the room, which was a nice touch. The bathroom had a fantastic walk-in shower and a selection of toiletries for us to use. The breakfasts at the B&B were absolutely outstanding. We couldn't get enough of the homemade granola with fresh berries and yogurt - we even got the recipe to make it at home! The cooked breakfast options were also delicious and well-presented. The B&B is situated in a quiet area with large grounds, and it's only a short and pleasant walk into the charming town of Melrose. Claire also recommended some local restaurants for us, and we had a fantastic meal at one of them. We can't wait to stay at the Barn @ The Coach House again in the future. Thank you to Claire and Donald for providing us with such a delightful experience!
